Your security matters to us.  So much so, that we invest significantly in our pre-employment screening process, our hiring procedures and each employee's ongoing training, which is especially beneficial to our customers.

BACKGROUND CHECKS
Before hiring an employee to work as an officer for this company, an extensive background check is completed. We begin with a court record search of the applicant's background. This check provides us with any information on the applicant's record, including traffic, misdemeanor, and felony convictions. We also complete a check of the National Sex Offender Registry. Applicants with criminal activity on their record are reviewed, and a decision to hire is on a case-by-case basis, providing we feel hiring the individual won't jeopardize the security at our locations. Applicants with felony convictions or some misdemeanor convictions on their record will not be hired.

TRAINING
All of our officers are required to complete an extensive training series prior to working any location. Our 12-part film series from Private Security Television Network ranges from basic security training to legal issues. It is a requirement to pass this series prior to post assignment. Once assigned, the officer will complete “On the Job” training with a qualified site trainer until it is apparent the officer is competent in his or her duties. Optional additional training is encouraged and made available to all security personnel, including self defense, OC pepper spray, building search and other various courses through the Tactical Skills Institute. All officer are encouraged to obtain the"Certified Protection Officer" certification through the International Foundation for Protection Officers. This program is company sponsored and paid for by Colorado Security Services.

SUPERVISION
Due to the size of our company, we are able to provide exceptional supervision of all our employees. Our management team includes after-hours roving patrol officers providing complete supervision 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Within this management team, random inspections on all onsite officers are performed periodically and always unannounced. If any deficiencies are found with the officer, we immediately work with the officer to correct the problem. We are also always available for them as needed, for additional training, clarification, and back up.

COMMUNICATIONS
Colorado Security has the latest in communication equipment. Each location is assigned a Nextel Direct radiophone. With this radio, onsite officers are in contact with our patrol officer at all times.

After hours and on weekends, Colorado Security phones are directed to an offsite dispatcher trained in assisting our employees and customers. Office management can also be contacted at any time in the event of an emergency by calling the main security phone number. The dispatcher will notify the on-call supervisor and your call will be returned shortly.

TOUCHPROBE SYSTEM
This system is a forced patrol system used at all our customer's locations to monitor the officer's routine interior and exterior patrols. The Touchprobe system consists of touch memory buttons stationed at various locations throughout the property. These buttons are programmed with the name of location, and when touched by the wand carried by the officer, the date and time at that particular location is recorded. These wands are collected twice a week and downloaded into a computer at our office. The activity by all officers is reviewed to ensure expected patrols are completed. If unauthorized ‘gaps' are found, a conference with the Operations Manager is required before the officer is allowed back to work, where job performance will be monitored closely. This supervision tool is very useful in ensuring you're receiving the quality service expected. Printouts of patrol activity are accessible upon request, and are available up to one year.

As your contract security provider, you receive the highest quality of service with extreme flexibility in regard to staffing. Whether your needs are access control, a need for escorts, a deterrent to criminal activity or unwanted behavior, or just peace of mind that your facility is guarded when vacant of employees, we will ensure that your staffing needs are met at all times with trained personnel. Detailed policies and procedures, along with our after-hours supervision, ensures that the quality of service is consistent and more importantly, continues when you need us the most...when you're not there.

In the event unforeseen situations arise, or planned additional coverage is necessary for events or holidays, we are always prepared to handle your staffing needs.

The following are additional benefits for utilizing contract security personnel:

Aiding in the cost of property damage due to unforeseen incidents.

Lowering the cost of insurance costs.
